GETTING TO UTRECHT

FROM SCHIPHOL AIRPORT TO UTRECHT

To get from the airport to Utrecht there is a convenient train service that takes one to the Central Train Station in Utrecht in about 40 minutes. Alternatively, there is a taxi service.

FROM UTRECHT CENTRAL TRAIN STATION TO THE ACADEMY HALL

1. BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

From Utrecht Central Station take bus 2, exit at Domplein. For travel by public transport in Utrecht, click here. More on travel by public transport in the Netherlands in general can be found here.

2. ON FOOT (10 MINUTE WALK)

Follow directions to the ‘Museumkwartier’ (Museum Quarter). In the ‘Hoog Catharijne’ shopping mall take the ‘Godebaldkwartier’ exit and continue left towards the Dom Tower. After passing right under the Dom Tower, cross over towards the right. The entrance to the University Hall is right in front of you.

GETTING TO UTRECHT BY CAR

PARKING IN UTRECHT

The nearest car park is located at the Springweg, a ten-minute walk from the University Hall. On the motorway follow directions towards the city centre (Centrum), then look for signs to ‘P Springweg’. After parking your car exit the car park at the ‘Oudegracht’ side and walk through the ‘Strosteeg’ towards the ‘Oudegracht’. Cross the bridge and turn left. At the ‘Wed’ turn right, then cross the ‘Lange Nieuwstraat’. The entrance to the University Hall is right in front of you.

GETTING FROM UTRECHT TO NIJMEGEN

For those who have registered prior to June 15, 2018 there will be a complementary bus shuttle service on Wednesday afternoon July 4, 2018 that will take participants from Utrecht to Nijmegen.

If you register after June 15, 2018 or on-site you need to make your own arrangements. Nijmegen can be reached easily, either by train or by car. You can use Routenet to plan you trip.

DIRECTIONS NIJMEGEN

The city of Nijmegen is easily accessible by car, train or bus from all parts of the country. For nation-wide travel, trains are the best option. There are several airports in the neighbourhood, so when planning your trip to Nijmegen check which airport is the most convenient for you.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Trains stop at Nijmegen Central Station and Station Nijmegen Heyendaal. During rush hour bus line 10, the Heyendaal Shuttle, runs every five minutes directly from the central station to campus Heyendaal. This bus line runs only during weekdays and not during holidays and in weekends.

Local buses stop on campus in the Philips van Leydenlaan, the Heyendaalseweg, the Kapittelweg and Erasmuslaan. There are several connections from Nijmegen Central Station to these bus stops. For traveling by bus or train you must use the OV-chipkaart (public transportation chip card).

GETTING TO NIJMEGEN BY CAR

PARKING IN NIJMEGEN

All car parks on the campus are equipped with boom barriers and pay-point terminals. Regular parking cost €2 per hour up to a maximum of €10 per day. Tickets can be paid for with creditcard and pin. After 6 P.M. and during weekends regular parking is free.

Disabled parking is possible at the designated parking lots at Radboud University´s campus. More information about parking at the Radboud University
